A few days ago Marcel and I were talking about vacations. He brought up the subject, and he started asking me if I’d been to various places such as Los Angeles and the Outer Banks. I was able to say that I’d been to LA, but I couldn’t remember ever going to the Outer Banks, unless I just passed through on the way to somewhere else. I rememeber hearing alot about Outer Banks vacations when I lived in Virginia, and since then I’ve heard numerous other people talk about how beautiful it is there. He said that maybe we should go sometime. Maybe he’s right. There are so many places I want to see, I’m sure my list will never be completed.
Where is your favorite U.S. travel destination? I loved San Luis Obispo, CA and traveling up Hwy 1, plus I love Williamsburg, VA and Roanoke, VA area and the mountains. Again, there are so many places that I haven’t seen.
It’s been many years since we’ve been to the Outer Banks, but it’s an awesome place, untouched by many touristy attractions. At least it was years ago. I’ve been thinking about visiting again since my son is into pirates and lighthouses and all that boy stuff. Not to mention the seafood is great, and the fishing is great, and the ferry rides are great. If you go, take a ferry ride over to Ocrocoke Island, where you can bike ride the whole island, it’s so small. So much history there. It’s great. Hope you do get to go.

My first hubby and I went there alot when we were living in Oceanview 🙂 It’s a place to be seen and experienced!
Currently, I’m on my second world-wide destination…..I have passport and lots of “stamps” to where I’ve been, too!!
It’s in “World-Class Solitaire” in Pogo games! I even won a couple of “awards!”

I love places like that Beth. Marcel would love to take a coast to coast road trip one year when we are home, but I’m njot sure if we’ll ever do it- there seems to be so many other things to do then.
Wow Judy- it sounds like you’ve been having a blast traveling and winning prizes! I’d love to go to the OB- Maybe one of these days.
