I’ve found a little comfort in the silence today. I know that may sound odd, but it has given me a chance to attempt to process things that I’ll never understand, and attempt to move forward. Even though it may seem to at times, life doesn’t stand still for anyone, or anything.
In a moment, I’ll put on my work-out clothes and see if I can’t burn off a little steam that way. Marcel also mentioned the other day that he’d like a navigation system, one that isn’t actually part of the software of his cell phone, which is what he currently has. I’m going to see if I can’t find one on sale and surprise him with it maybe for Easter, or sometime soon. He’s been such a source of strength and encouragement for me, and deserves it.
I agree with the comfort in silence thing… there are times when you want to open up and share and be held, and others when you just want to deal quietly – even if it’s just temporarily.
Do you mean a nav system like a Garmin or a TomTom, for in the car or a handheld type you use for walking? I’ve got a Garmin in my car and really depend on it when I’m in bigger cities or unfamiliar places. Not only does it help me when I’m trying to find an address or get from Point A to Point B, but I like the features where it will tell me the names & addresses of the nearest gas stations, stores, or restaurants, along with their phone numbers so I can make reservations if needed or call to find out what time they close.

I agree Sammi- sometimes I just need to be alone with my thoughts, and others, just as you mentioned, I want to open up and be held. Marcel is working this afternoon, so it’s afforded me that time, and I’m grateful for it.
Yes, I meant like a TomTom. He has one in his phone that’s built in, but he’s decided that he wants an external one.. *boys and their toys*. His cell contract doesn’t expire for a year, bu the’s said that he doesn’t want a new phone with a navigation so therefore wants a tom tom between now and then.
I can understand it, because I love it myself, but he sometimes doesn’t even listen to the thing and does what he wants anyway.. even in areas where he has NO CLUE which way to go haha.. I guess that’s men for ya 🙂
